This project explores sacred and secular rituals, acts of faith and daily life in the American South.

Traditional religious practices in the Southern United States for most of the past century was primarily rooted in Protestant traditions. But as immigration and global forces of economics and culture increased over the past 40 years, the faith landscape of the South has evolved to include the traditions and beliefs of cultures and faith as varied as the parts of the world from where they came.
